NOTICE: Because of the spread of various tree diseases in the Iowa and surrounding states, no outside fire-wood is allowed on the property.
We have plenty of free fire-wood for your use in the fire ring.
The Property
The Roundhouse Retreat is a spacious, 3 story geodesic home. It includes a kitchen, living room, dining area, 2 bathrooms, a recreation room, 3 bedrooms, and a bedroom loft. It is heated and air-conditioned.Kitchen
The full sized kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, a microwave oven, toaster, and coffee maker. Dishes, flatware, pots, pans and utensils are provided.Bedrooms
There are 3 bedrooms plus a large bedroom loft. Bedroom #1 has a queen size bed. Bedroom #2 has a queen-size bed and a twin bed. Bedroom #3 has two full-size beds and a sleeper sofa. The bedroom loft has a full-size bed, three twin beds, a set of bunk beds, a toddler bed, and a futon. Bedding and pillows are provided. The bedrooms can sleep up to 20 people.Bathrooms
There are two full bathrooms with a shower/tub. The lower bathroom is equiped with a sauna. Towels and washclothes are provided.Indoor Fun & Games
There is a pool table and a poker table. There is a TV/VCR/DVD player and plenty of movies, but no TV reception. There are cards and many board games available.
Utilities
There is a washer and dryer in the utility room. Detergent is provided. An ironing board and iron are also available.Outdoor Enjoyment
There is a large deck with a table and chairs and a large gas grille. In the yard you will find a swing, an octagon picnic table, and a fire ring with plenty of firewood available. The woods are full of trails to explore.The Roundhouse Retreat is such a unique place that you will want to come back again and again!
